Comment: Gaudin (in Flora Helvetica) published infraspecific names at 3 hierarchical positions, however in most cases only his 2nd-level names can be assigned rank (variety, designated by Greek letters and referenced in observations by that term) under the ICN as in the present case, the remaining names must be treated as unranked, or, for those names above the rank of variety which were referred to as "forma" in his discussion, must be treated as not validly published under Shenzhen ICN Art. 37.6 (fide W. Greuter, pers. comm. on 25 Aug 2010)
